Ease of use

Working with a Central Pointing Device (CID) makes the position of the shoulders, arms and wrists
the most relaxed and comfortable position available when typing and mousing. The NomusNavigator™
encourages the user to work with the arms in front of the body instead of at the sides thus preventing
stretched working positions.

Due to the unique layout of the NomusNavigator™ operational functions, you automatically use the smaller
muscle groups for detailed tasks and micromovements (see fingers) instead of using the larger
muscle groups (see shoulders, arms and thumbs) as when using a traditional mouse. The mbidextrous
layout also support and encourages a two hands use of the NomusNavigator™.

Slim design

The NomusNavigator™ is a centered pointing device that eliminates the need to reach for your mouse.
Reaching for a mouse repeatedly throughout the day, or holding the arm in a reaching posture for long
durations while doing mouse intensive tasks is a leading cause of arm, shoulder and neck pain, discomfort
and injury for many computer users.

The dimension of the NomusNavigator™ is large enough to work on stationary keyboards and at the same
time small enough to work with notebooks. Due to its wide, soft and yet sturdy support the product support
the users wrists when working either on the keyboard, numeric keypad or the NomusNavigator™ itself.

The slim height of the product, only 22 mm., makes it suitable for all types of keyboards as well as for the
modern low profile keyboards. The top cover is made of LaserLeather® which is a very soft yet sturdy material
and it is manufactured for easy maintenance in terms of cleaning and disinfecting.

Functions

The scroll joystick offers a sensational and unique smooth feeling when scrolling both horizontal and vertical in
documents and it´s placement invites the user to use both left and right hand.

The operational roller controls the cursor. The roller has a large and increased diameter (+22%) for more accuracy
and smooth feeling. The large diameter also makes it easier to work on the product and a quick learning curve.

The roller is covered with a soft rubber to provide a firm grip when rolling and the roller is placed central
and “sunk in” to prevent touching the roller when moving hands up and down from the keyboard. The roller has a
built in left click function that can be very easily set on and off.

The most frequently used operational functions are placed above the roller (Delete, Left, Right and Enter). Under the
roller are the placement of Ctrl, Copy, Cut and Paste. All of these operational functions are active at any time
without the need of extra programming or using extra settings.

The operational functions require only a very low force to activate comparing to regular mice. The operational
functions are large in their size in order to prevent “misclicking” and for the ease of use with both right and left hand.
